The Nurture Works are based in Bicester, Oxfordshire.

Our founder, Jenna Goodgame, has over 20 years of therapeutic, educational and diagnostic experience.

Alongside a passion for working with individuals and families The Nurture Works also offer supervision to clinicians, lecture at a number of educational establishments and offer consultancy.

We have both a personal and professional passion in working with Neuro-Divergence and are trained to deliver ADOS, ADI-R and ADHD DIVA assessments.

We’re here to help you

We work with children, young people, adults and families with a wide range of difficulties. These include Attachment disorder, Social Anxiety, OCD, PTSD, C-PTSD, Depression, Separation Anxiety, School Refusal, GAD, Phobias and Eating Disorders to name a few.

We also specialise in support around the diagnosis of Autism and ADHD.

We offer Parent coaching, Sensory integration Strategies and Emotional regulation sessions.

Our approach is holistic

As well as offering psychotherapy and assessments we offer yoga, meditation and dramatherapy.

We also engage in local community and charity work to extend the reach of our wellbeing expertise to those who may not typically be able to access it.

Our calm therapy space is situated in a lovely eco village on the outskirts of Bicester, Oxfordshire.

Our home, is built to environmental standards, boasting zero carbon energy usage.

This lovely eco space has a real sense of community and belonging.

Experience

Jenna is a Psychotherapist, Cognitive Behavioural therapist, Dramatherapist & EMDR psychotherapist. She specialises in trauma and attachment difficulties and has worked for both the NHS, voluntary sectors, schools, children's homes and private sectors for the last 12 years of clinical practice.

She currently helps private clients through referral and through her private practice, The Nurture Works, which celebrates the exploration of compassion and kindness through therapy.

She also has wide experience as an academic and university lecturer, conference presenter, researcher and writer.

Jenna was previously Clinical Lead for The Priory Oxford.

Academia

Alongside her clinical work, Jenna has also worked in academia as a senior lecturer and researcher for the past 14 years. She is currently working as an associate of Oxford University and recently resigned as external examiner for Roehampton University.

Her published research has been connected to using creativity and combined approaches of evidence based protocols to engage children, adolescents and families.

As a lecturer in Psychology and Counselling at the University of Northampton she was previously the Course Leader for the M.Sc. in Counselling Children and Young People course.

Children and Families

Jenna has worked for many years in the field of adoption and fostering and most recently her work has developed into the boarding school environment.

She has many years’ experience of applying her skills with children and families in a range of contexts including the NHS, schools, universities and in private practice. A distinguishing aspect of her counselling and therapeutic work is the application of dynamic creative arts approaches in both one-to-one and group contexts.

Children, young people, individuals, couples and families are instinctively drawn by her real warmth and empathy and welcome her imaginative approach and support to exploring and supporting their worlds and experiences.

Perpetually Developing

Jenna is very well qualified in therapeutic interventions and has continually refreshed her skills and knowledge over the years through further professional development.

Her clinical practice continues to be wide ranging with varied client groups, including work in international settings. She has presented her work and research at peer reviewed international conferences and led training sessions and workshops across Europe and beyond.
